JeongMee Yoon is a talented photographer who noticed that some children develop a powerful affection for specific colors—namely pink and blue—and decided to capture the phenomenon in some remarkable photos. Go here and take a look at the Pink Project and the Blue Project.
Here's a really cool timekiller for anybody who likes photography and design. Montage-a-google (here) is website that "uses Google's image search to generate a large gridded montage of images based on keywords (search terms)."
Just type in any word you like and the site pulls in all kinds of images from the Internet and automatically creates a photo montage in a matrix whose parameters you can specify. If you don't like how it looks, search again or use the "Advanced Options" to change the complexity of the grid.

Fishloft is a (German?) site that introduces what appears to be instructions for building an elevated room for your fishpond. Based on creating a vacuum, it looks like it's not too hard to put together. So, if you have a school of fish swimming in your backyard, why not give them something they've all been hankering for—a room with a view.
Finally.
An online radio service that lets you choose music to play according to how you want to feel.
For instance, say you're feeling down and you want a lift with some music that's energetic and positive. Or, say you're all keyed up and would rather hear something calm and dark.
Musicovery lets you select by clicking inside a grid that combines energy levels and tone. The music starts automatically and is pre-set to give you tunes covering 18 genres.
Don't like metal, latino or funk? No problem.
You simply uncheck the boxes for those genres and Musicovery gives you songs from amongst the rest.
You also have the option of listening exclusively to a single genre. Just hold your mouse over the one you like and click inside the grid that appears.
Only want music from a certain era? You can control that too by moving the sliders on the music timeline.
Once the music starts playing, you can see which tunes are coming next because Musicovery displays a set of interconnected, color-coded bubbles with the names of songs and artists that are on the way. If you see a song you want to hear now, just click on it! Cool!
Musicovery is available in LoFi and HiFi versions. The LoFi version (32kbit/s) is free. The HiFi version (CD quality) costs a few dollars a month.

Say hello to Yves Rossy, a Swiss man who has developed jet-propelled wings that actually allow him to fly parallel to the ground, just like a superhero. 
He uses subtle body movements to turn and change altitude while achieving speeds up to 200 km/hr. Amazing!

mono is a creative ad agency that has come up with a delightful new take on the "Mr. Potatohead" concept.
If you access their monoface site, a countenance will appear. Your job is to click on the mouth, nose, head and each eye to insert different variations of these body parts. Then keep clicking until you arrive at the perfect guffaw-inducing combination.
The image above shows two faces I made using monoface (click for a closer look). According to the site, over 750,000 different faces are possible. And most of them are pretty funny.
